CAT is not an easy exam to crack. It takes hard work and dedication to score a decent Percentile in CAT. Take some practice tests and find out your weaknesses and strengths. Once you know that, determine how much time is left for your exam. There are about 4-5 months left for CAT exam right now. So approx 100 days are left. Study at least 4-6 hours daily, each topic 1-2 days to cover about all topics in time. Do keep ample time for revision as it will ensure all your previous work is not lost in vain. All the best. Basic maths covered till class 12th usually come in CAT. It includes Number systems, geometry, trogonometry, probability, permutation combination, algebra, mensuration, time and work, averages, percentages, profit and loss, quadratic and linear equations, etc.

Yes, Maths is important for CAT. One of the paper in CAT is quantitative abilities which is technically Maths. However the syllabus almost covers upto class 12th only. Hence there are a lot of commerce graduates in IIM. I am sure when they can make it, you can too.
