There are a list of books that you'll get whenever and wherever you search for CAT preparation. The idea is not to solve everything. Qualitative study is more important.
Focus more on your weak areas and weak topics rather than trying to finish every book you come across.
Of the material I've gone through, most useful were the following
1. Quantitative ability
- TIME study material
- Quantitative Aptitude by Arun Sharma
* my recommendation won't be to solve the Complete book, rather solve time or whatever coaching material you have and the topics that you find difficult or you need more practice in solve those from this book.
- CAT 500 by

Yes, CAT is difficult but not that it is impossible. With proper utilization of time and some hard work, you can score a good percentile on it. And starting its preparation depends upon your own advantage.

CAT is one of the toughest exam for MBA admissions in IIMs and many other MBA institutes. You have to be good in all your concepts and study hard. Go through the previous year question papers and try to solve them, then you will understand where you have to improve and where your strength lies. Practice and study hard.
All the best.
