If you are graduating in 2017, then you can give 2016 CAT, depends on your passing year. But it is not always necessary to go for CAT right after MBA, you can gain some years of corporate experience and then pursue MBA.If you really so sure about going for MBA, then you must start preparing from now on. For start, you must read and write articles to hone your communication skills. Read newspapers, business magazines, etc.

Eligibility criteria for
CAT- Minimum 50% in graduation for reserved category its 45%
CMAT-Minimum 50% in graduation for reserved category its 45%
GMAT- Graduation required but admission eligibility depends upto college for appearing in exam there isn't any % requirement.

Hi, there is no particular benchmark cut off. Weightage is given to overall profile and not just your CAT scores for GD-PI selection. On an average a score of 70 percentile coupled with decent academics should earn you a call.
