Hi,
This is not only your percentile on which your admission in IIM's depends. With a high CAT percentile you must have a good profile too. without a strong profile you will not be able to even get a GD/PI call.
For example you can get a call from IIM K at 90 percentile. But due to not so strong profile, many people are unable to get a GD/PI call.
Moreover if you get a call for GD/PI, then your admission depends on you performance in that round. Thus you can't judge only on your CAT score whether you will get a seat or not.

Hi anand.
If you are very serious about belling the CAT. then you should defiinitely attend CAT preparation classes. before selecting the correct coaching institute do keep in mind that the institute should be reputed have smaller batch sizes and fees should be reasonable.
I will suggest you to take these classes of small duration rather than getting trapped in year long programs>
Try to master the technique of giving the exam.increase your vocabulary and general awareness at the same time>
Most of students generally end up wasting half of the sessions as the coaching duration and oevrall program length is too long and student feels monot

ITs not what your parents what. They have suggest what they have always dreamt their child to be. I would suggest go through the various industry, shortlist what industry excites you, then within that industry what would you like to work as and according to that opt for further studies into masters or any related certification. Still if you are unsure go through http://www.mu.ac.in/academics.html

My friend your CAT score is low for Welingkar . Last year the cutoff was around 80 %ile.
