CAT exam score card is accepted by almost all the MBA colleges in India whereas SNAP is accepted by 14 colleges under Symbiosis University.
Comparatively CAT is more tougher to crack than Snap. The two exams follows similar pattern except General Awareness section in Snap.

The validity of CAT score card is one year. So you cannot apply to any colleges with last years marks. So if you need to apply with CAT marks then you need to rewrite the exam this year.

If you are preparing for CAT then it will be enough for all the other MBA exams as you know cat is the most toughest exams among them. The cat sections will be there in almost all the entrance exams except the topics like General Knowledge, General Awareness, Current affairs which is followed in MAT, CMAT, SNAP etc.

Hi Paras,
Preparing for the exam is easy or not, entirely depends on an individual's capabilities and understanding of the subject.
Your preparation requires the right approach along with the right study materials and strategy rather than plain hard work. You need to know what are your strengths and start your preparation after gauging your weaknesses.
You need to work on your weak fundamentals. After understanding basics, you should start taking regular mock tests to know your preparation status.
Your strategy for success must include: early, continuous and serious preparation, starting right now.

In India the most popular MBA exams to get admission into top b schools are CAT and XAT. Other than IIM's most of the colleges accepting CAT they will accept XAT too. If you failed to do good in CAT exam you still got one more opportunity with XAT. So prepare for XAT.
Also you can try CMAT, MAT and ATMA exams too to get admission. But only few colleges accept these exams as compared to CAT and XAT.

One of the major changes in the CAT 2015 Exam Pattern is an addition of one more section. This year the exam will have three sections, namely, Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR) and Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC). QA and VRC will have 34 questions each, and DILR will have 32 questions. Hi Harshal,
I do not know of any service that gives you free books. If you are willing to spend 4000 Rs then you get a good mock test series.

CAT 2015 notification has sprung a surprise as it changed the Common Admission Test (CAT) format once again. It also introduced a completely unheard set of questions, changed the time limit, changed the structure of the test and made some changes which indicate that the IIMs may want to go back to the good old paper-based structure.
What do we understand out of the changed CAT exam is that the sectional timings and the Type In The Answer (TITA) questions shall play a pivotal role in fixing a student's CAT score & percentile.
