If you don't know why you need a MBA or which specialization then please don't go for it. It will be of no use to you. First get some work experience in some reputed companies and after sometime you will gradually recognize that you need a MBA in this specialization to turn your career into next level. At that time go for MBA. Sometimes M.tech will be helping you more to reach the success than MBA.
Remember there are 3Lakh graduates coming out of MBA colleges in India every year and only 10% of them are employable. Remaining all are unemployed or underemployed. So choose you PG wisely.

If 2 Lakh candidates wrote CAT including yourself then your percentile depends upon the 1.99 Lakh candidates i.e their performance in the exam will be compared with your performance which will determine your percentile. Performance in the sense means not only the final score but what level(High or Medium or easy) of questions you attempted and how many negative marks you made etc etc.
IIM consider lot of factors to determine the final percentile of a candidate. So literally speaking no one can predict or calculate your percentile. Its nothing but impossible. The best option is to wait for your final cat results. Don't get worry with all

Hi, Well on a personal level from my experience I can say that CAT percentiles are not that predictive. And any percentile above 85 would give you a shout at the shortlisting. Keep your hopes high!

Hi Abhinav, it depends on the institute's admission process which you are targetting for your MBA. JBIMS for example has a separate admission process altogether, as it is no more part of the CAP rounds which happen for admission in other B-schools considering CAT or MAH-CET scores. So, I would advice you to go through the particular college's website to know the admission process it follows. For the admission process of JBIMS have a look at the following link - www.jbims.edu
