You have so many different options and if you are specific in Journalism then do a B.A. M. C course or B. M. from a reputed college.
1. St. Xavier's, Mumbai.
2. Christ College, Bangalore.
3. Symbiosis college, Pune.
4. Manipal University.

Nothing specific can be told u can excel in any field and be successful.

Go for GPAT. Nothing is better than this.

Go for B.Tech. Pursue it from a very good college then register for the side courses on different programming languages. Learn different programming and get certificates, pursue training courses, attend different workshop related to computer science. Learn different things in CS like networking, ethical hacking, machine learning, etc. There are many courses for the B.Tech students. When you will go for B.Tech then you will came to know about more options as well as the training courses.

If you have done Diploma in engineering of 3 years then you can take direct admission to 2nd year of engineering.

It's your choice if you balance between your school study and JEE preparation then you can start preparing for it in class 10th.
