There are many options besides studying medicine. You can do B.Sc in areas like biology, chemistry, environmental science, botany, zoology, agriculture, biochemistry, bioinformatics, food science and nutrition, physical therapy, exercise and sports science, etc. Understand what you like and choose accordingly.

There is no simple answer to this question. Different people have different interests and different definition of valuable. Commonly Engineering, Medical, Law, Architecture, Management are some of the sectors yielding high paying jobs but not for all. On the other hand creative people can earn handsomely in areas of designing, arts & music, etc.
