It depends on your CAT score. If your percentile is above 99, however, you need to be in the graduation final year without any backlog in order to be eligible for appearing in CAT.

Hi Lance Hood, If you are an exceptionally bright student then even the top 10 universities will accept you. But the issue is you haven't mentioned anything about your academic background and extracurricular details so can't comment anything further. You may check the top university websites and match the requirements with your own profile. You will have an idea of the areas you need to improve on if any.

Hi Cherish, chances are good but nobody outside the university can tell you if you will get it or not. It depends on the university, other applicants, they will see how competitive you are with the rest, if you meet all criteria you can. You must also have a very good all-rounder profile, a strong personal statement and good LORs. Apply early, don't wait till the last date of the deadline, it will hamper your chances. And check the university website carefully for scholarship and financial aid options and requirements.

Hello Narayanan,
From this year onwards, admissions to engineering colleges in TN would be based on marks obtained in 12th exam. Hence, it would be next to impossible to guess cut-off.
