Hi Simran,
Either of them as foreign universities are aware of Indian education system. However, very recently there were issues with PSEB board students in Australia, just google the news. I would therefore recommend CBSE for assured recognition.

Good B-Schools accept scores of CAT GMAT CMAT. If one can score above 90 percentile in CAT, then it is considered a very good score and will get a call from good private B-School.
For IIMs in general category, you will have to score above 97 percentile to get a seat in new IIMs.
Colleges look for a better profile overall rather than a single thing like of scores.
GD/PI also play a vital role in selection procedure.

You can drop for a year if you want to get into a reputed institute for B.Tech or B.Arch. Or else, you can for B.Sc/B.Arch/B.Tech from.any private college.
