12th standard is the last stage of a student's school life. After 12th standard, a student has to decide his path and his career. This step has to be taken after lots of planning and thinking. You just can't afford to choose what to do after 12th standard carelessly. You must take into consideration various factors like- your interests, job scope and opportunities, etc. while choosing your career.

I don't think there will be any problem to get a job just because you dropped a year for entrance preparation. The employer is only interested in your educational qualification, your knowledge and your skills. Since you dropped a year for preparation of entrance exams, you haven't lost it. The preparation is definitely going to help you to get your goal and once you have achieved it, nobody cares how many years you dropped.
So, do not worry and move ahead towards your goal.
