No, NSIT do not provide Admission on the basis of 12th board score. But you can get Anna University (currently ranked 8th by NIRF) on the basis of board score. Anna University is a just below the top 7 IITs and is far better than even lower IITs. So, you can check details about Anna University on Google.

JEE Mains counseling will start after declaration of JEE Advanced result. So you should wait for the announcement for advanced result. Admission in IIT/NIT/GFTI will be done through JOSAA. You have to fill choices of your desire colleges and branches. There will be 5-7 rounds of counseling. For more details go to www.josaa.nic.in.

You will get an average private college like SR engineering College, Lucknow and RR Engineering College. They give admission on the basis of your board percentage as well.

I think you may know that you have to clear entrance exams to get into engineering colleges. Only some private colleges in Gurgaon, Noida, Sonepat and Badarpur will permit you in engineering college with board marks but no permission in government colleges.

Vast difference, Maharashtra board's syllabus is merely an introduction of the topic, no background history, no further application whereas CBSE board uses a step by step approach for any topic.
You will see that all the government exams have their syllabus based on NCERT books (i.e. CBSE books), that is because it gives right amount of knowledge to the child at the right time.
More importantly, the language usage of CBSE books is far easier to decipher as compared to that of Maharashtra State Board.
