With a CRL rank of 451836 in JEE under the SC category, it will be very difficult for you to get admission in GFTIs or reputed colleges in Punjab or Chandigarh. This is because your rank is very low as compared to the expected cutoffs. The expected SC category cutoff rank for 2025 for GFTIs is 70,000-120,000 or 50-70 percentile. As of February 2025 applicants must take the PU-CET (PG) entrance test in order to be admitted to Punjab University's (PU), Chandigarh M.Sc. Physics program. Although the precise cutoff scores for the M.Sc Physics programme are not made public basic rules state that applicants must receive at least 15% of the possible points on the admission exam in order to be eligible for SC/ST/PwD categories, this is at least 10%.
