You should start with your preparation at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam is scheduled to take place. This gives you enough time on hand to prepare for the entrance test, cover all the important topics, especially the ones that carry more marks weightage, practice last year's question papers, and do a thorough revision in the last month to brush up on the important sections.
