Hello,
It is very nice to hear from you that you are interested in going to Canada for your best of engineering studies after completion of your Diploma in India. Admissions abroad are normally given for undergraduate courses after qualifying 12th standard but then Diploma is also considered as equivalent of class 12th. In view of this I would like to strongly advise you to approach an agency dealing with sending students for undergraduate

No doubt, IITs are the top government funded institutes of India. NITs follow IITs and are next best in Engineering. So, if you are targeting top-10 institute than you must target these institutes. You need to sit for JEE-Mains and score good to have a chance for NITs. For IITs you need to first qualify JEE-Mains and then JEE Advanced. Only way to excel in JEE is continuous effort in learning the topics (PCM) of 11th and 12th. Try to solve questions with proper logic. Take as many tests as possible. Determined effort towards preparation will definitely help you to get into top institute. Best of Luck.
