Anybody who has completed a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks in graduation from a recognised academic institution can go ahead and apply for the M.Tech Civil Engineering course at several reputed colleges and universities across the country.

Generally, for Diploma courses, you must have passed class 10, or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 45 percent marks each in Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. You must have also studied English as one of the compulsory subjects. Other than that, you must be passionate enough about the field to do well in the course and possess critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills that will help you a lot in your career as a Civil Engineering professional.

The eligibility requirements for admission into Civil Engineering courses in India can be stated as
Minimum Qualification: You must have completed your 12th standard (or equivalent) from a recognised school/college.
Science Stream: Majority of institutions need you to have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics popularly known as PCM stream.

The eligibility criteria for distance learning programmes may vary slightly between institutions, but here are the general eligibility requirements:

The basic eligibility requirement to pursue a Civil Engineering course at the UG and PG levels in BTech Civil Engineering colleges in Pune:
- Aspirants should have passed the Class 12 exam from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects. Besides the candidates should also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjects combined.
- For admissions, candidates must take standard entrance exams like JEE Main, MHT CET, and other university-specific entrance exams in addition to their Class 12 results.
