The cutoff rank for NALSAR varies every year. It is determined based on applicants CLAT score. In 2024, CLAT Round 5 admission list was the concluding round for NALSAR Hyderabad BA LLB (H) course admission. During the counselling, the last round closing rank for BA LLB (Hons) was 167 for the General category under the All-India quota.

No, NALSAR University of Law does not grant admission without CLAT score. Hence, the course aspirants must take the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) and secure a valid score. CLAT is a pen and paper based test conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs). After the entrance exam, cutoff marks are announced. Candidates who meet the cutoff criteria become eligible for participation in the CLAT counselling.

For admission through CLAT, the aspirants must meet the eligibility criteria prescribed by the exam conducting body. Aspirants who have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with a minimum of 45% aggregate are eligible. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories get a 5% relaxation in the minimum aggregate. Furthermore, the aspirants must hold the pass certificates. These documents are required for verification purposes.

Yes, NLU Assam accepts CLAT score. Candidates who are looking for degree course admission at National Law University & Judicial Academy, Assam must have a valid CLAT score. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) began the CLAT 2025 Registration on July 15, 2025. Candidates can fill the CLAT Application Form 2025 until October 15, 2024. All interested candidates can fill out the CLAT Application Form 2025 by visiting the official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. NLU Odisha BBA LLB admission 2024 is done through CLAT. For admission through CLAT candidates have to submit the application fee, other than the course fee. For General /OBC /PWD /PIO /OCI /NRI category candidates, the application fee is INR 4,000 and for SC /ST /BPL category candidates, the application fee is INR 3,500. Candidates who qualify for CLAT are required to pay fee for their respective courses, which includes various components such as tuition fee, examination fee, security deposit, hostel charges (if applicable), etc.

CLAT 2025 dates for admission to NLU Odisha are out. Only students who fill out the application form as well as, pay the fee are issued admit cards to appear for CLAT exam 2025. Students can log in using their registered mobile number and password to update their preferences in CLAT 2025 application form.
Conducted in pen-and-paper mode, candidates have to attempt questions from English, Current Affairs and GK, Legal Reasoning, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Mathematics for UG course, and from Constitutional Law, and other law subjects like Jurisprudence, Torts, IPC, CrPC, CPC, Family Law, and IPR.
