Yes, CMA is a recognized course. No, it's difficulty is not same as IPCC. It's a little bit easier.

You can apply on the basis of class 12th. If you are applying for Foundation. But, for Intermediate level you have to submit your graduation result.

Candidates registering for the exam must endure that they check the eligibility criteria. Applications that do not comply by the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials. The eligibility criteria is as follows:
ICWAI Foundation Examination
The candidate should have cleared class 10 or equivalent exam. The same should be done from a recognised education higher secondary school board or institution
The candidate should have appeared for and cleared Class 12 examination from a recognised board or
The candidate should have cleared the National Diploma in Commerce Examination
Candidates awaiting results are also eligible
