Of course, yes, there is some paper exemption for MBA students in CMA intermediate exams. Please refer chapter website The Institute of Cost Accountants of India under student section.

No, its not necessary that you have to clear both group before enter into CMA inter. You can directly appear for Inter level of CMA after clearing CPT. But for your knowledge I would like to tell you that while in period of articleship, you can pursue only 1 other degree other than CA. So, if you are pursuing Bachelors degree also than you will have to choose between the two. I hope it helps.

Both the courses are same, as the name of the institution changed from ICWAI (Institution of cost and works Accountant of India) to ICAI (Institution of Cost Accountant of India) and referring as CMA. Thanks.
