Hi,
Both are good. But it depends on the college that which exam they are accepting. Like there are many colleges which accept only CMAT or MAT or both.

CMAT cut off scores changes as per the institutional norms. Last year the highest cut off list opened at 90 percentile and it slowly reduced till 60 percentile. If CMAT scores are high then the chances of selecting campus as per preference becomes high, even if some one has scored average marks in CMAT then also he or she is eligible for IBS but the campus preference selection becomes a problem. As IBS Hyderabad is in huge demand as per campus preference followed by IBS Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and so on.

Suraj, You need to figure out which are the colleges that are taking direct admission. And you can directly apply to those colleges.

Hey Akshay, It is difficult to get admission below 90 percentile still you can go through last year's data for cut offs of different categories.
Check this link for cut offs
http://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/MBA2015/StaticPages/frmInstituteWiseAllotmentList.aspx?did=1254
There are many colleges you can opt for like Sinhagad, Indira.
You can check cut offs for all the institutes on above link which will help you to get better picture.
I hope this will clear your doubt.
