As per the data collated from verified students' reviews published on Shiksha, students of NIT Mizoram have received placement opportunities from companies, such as Amazon, Flipkart, TCS and Wipro, among others. Candidates can take admission to M.Tech at NIT Mizoram through a common counselling named CCMT after qualifying for the GATE exam. In case the seats remain vacant even after the CCMT Counselling is over, non-GATE candidates are then offered admission on the basis of the institute-level admission process. The total tuition fee for the four-year BTech programme spread over eight semesters at NIT Mizoram is INR 5 lakh. This fee, however, is been obtained from unofficial sources. Hence, is indicative. For the exact fee, students are advised to reach out to the admission office via call or in person or visit the official website. In addition to the tuition fee, students are also required to pay the application fee for JEE Main which is INR 1,000 for boys and INR 800 for girls.

Students seeking admission to NIT Mizoram for BTech are selected via JoSSA Counselling on the basis of their JEE Main scores/rank. For, Engineering courses, students need to qualify GATE exam and for non-Engineering courses, students need to qualify for the NET exam. However, one needs to be a graduate or post-graduate in a relevant stream.

  • For Engineering specialisations, candidates must have completed their PG degree in Engineering/ Technology with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or 60% aggregate in the qualifying exam or have a bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or 70% aggregate and with a valid GATE score
  • For Science specialisations, candidates must have completed their PG degree in Physics/ Chemist
