The admission process of Mizoram University for all courses is entranced-based. Mizoram University, Aizawl accepts the scores/ ranks of its in-house or various national/ state-level or its in-entrance exams such as CUET UG,  JEE Main,  NATA,  CAT, etc., for courses such as BA, BSc, BTech, BArch, MTech, and MBA, respectively. For the final selection, candidates need to clear the entrance exam and appear for Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds conducted by the university.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech in Electrical Engineering was 338365. This was for general category under All India quota.
