The NIT Mizoram University does not take any direct admissions. In order to take admission for any engineering course in NIT Mizoram one has to undergo JEE Mains examination, and has to score a valid ranking according to the cutoff released. This is followed by JoSAA counseling and CSAB counseling. Eligibility criteria includes 75% aggregate in 12th class and JEE Mains score.

In order to take admission for B.Tech courses in NIT Mizoram is done, one has to score a valid rank in JEE Mains, which followed by JoSAA counseling and CSAB counseling. The registration for Jee Mains Session 1 has already started from Nov 1st-30th 2023. The admit cards will be released in Jan followed by exam between 24 Jan- 1st Feb 2024. The results for the same will be out in the Feb itself. Next step, the registration for Jee Mains Session 2 will start between Feb-March 2024. NIT Mizoram offers a 4 year full fledged B.Tech course in total seven specializations. The total seat intake including all the courses are 210. The seat distribution is as follows:

The eligibility criteria includes 75% aggregate in 12th class.In addition to this, a valid score in JEE Mains is mandatory followed by JoSAA counseling and CSAB counseling.

All the courses offered at NIT institutions are great. But the flagship course to opt for at NIT is B.Tech in CSE followed by B.Tech in Electronics and Communication and Civil engineering. The highest package offered after completing this course is  above 5.5 LPA, the highest being 8-8.5 LPA. The placements offered by the university are also great. 

No, for B.Tech NIT Kurukshetra is better than NIT Mizoram. NIT Kurukshetra is rated 4.0 out of 5 whereas the later is rated 3.6 out of 5.

Even NIT Kurukshetra offers 11 courses and NIT Mizoram offers 7 courses. 

The average placement package in the former is 16 LPA and the later has an average package  of 8 LPA. 

According to Shiksha.com, the JEE Main Round 6 opening and closing rank for Civil Engineering at NIT Mizoram was 58000 and 59000, respectively. The JEE Main cutoff for Computer Science Engineering in 2023 was 4524 for SC and 1507 for ST category. The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Mizoram has been decreasing in recent years. The cutoffs for admission to NIT Mizoram are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, and the last cutoffs also change depending on All India quota or Home State.
