The excellent overall placement scenario and study culture at IFMR compensates for the fees structure with a highest package of 14.5 lakhs and a median of 8.75 lakhs. Its at par with many of the other Tier 2 b schools.
Stipends for SIP are also very attractive with the highest being offered as high as 45k p.m. apart from stipend. The roles offered during Summers are very attractive and demanding.
Extra curricular activities includes regular participation in inter college fests, quizzes, debates, case study challenges, sports, etc.

HR at IFMR is quite promising. we have companies like Standard Chartered, Scope International, TCS, Dhanalaxmi Bank offering HR profiles of Talent Acquisition and Management Trainee roles. The highest package for HR was around 8.5 lakh p.a.

Placements have been promising at IFMR since inception. Currently for the outgoing 2014-16 batch, the highest salary offered is 14.5 lacs p.a and the overall average is 8.75 lacs p.a. We have companies like Credit Suisse, HSBC, Barclays, Bank of America, J.P Morgan, CRISIL, Genpact, Cognizant etc visiting our campus for recruitment and have offered very demanding and attractive roles to the students.

Yea the ROI is quite good since the avg package is around 8.75 lakhs p.a. and facilities offered are also very good with state of the art campus, wifi, excellent faculties with an unique mentorship program for the students.

XIME. They are pretty much the similar level colleges but XIME has more industry pref and more international linkages. Plus its in bangalore. The best city for start ups and industries in IT. So it boils down to your choice now. But Id say XIME
