For easing the burden on students, Bihar government has scrapped the entrance exam which it used to conduct and now gives admission based on the ranking obtained by the students in the JEE Mains examination.

As per the JEE Main eligibility criteria, For admissions in NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs : Candidates should have obtained a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 or equivalent exam or they must be in the top 20 percentile in their class 12 examination. For SC/ ST, the eligibility is to obtain a minimum of 65% marks in class 12 or equivalent. So as per the eligibility criteria you can not get admission in NITs.
