Getting a seat at UM Dearborn is moderately competitive for Indian students. The university acceptance rate is 56%

Students do need to maintain a high GPA (atleast 3.0 on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible for studies here. Along with strong academics, students also need a strong extracurricular profile and proficiency in English.

Indian students need to pay a initial deposit worth CAD 5,000 (INR 3.45 Lakhs). This can be used to prove financial capability to study in Canada and obtain a Canada study permit.

The deposit applies directly to the tuition fees. It is not an additional charge. In case application gets rejected or a student withdraws, the fee is refunded back, as per guidelines of the Private Education Act.
