Having commerce in class 12th you can't apply for science courses. You can't pursue a bachelor's in science after having commerce in 12th.

The admissions are based on a cut-off list released by Panjab University. It is completely a merit-based admission process. Mathematics is the compulsory subject to get into DU for B.Com(Hons). Few of the colleges has made mathematics compulsory for B.Com (Prog) too.
It's not compulsory that mathematics should be the part of best of four percentage what matters is that you should have studied it in 10+2.
Moreover, mathematics is the compulsory subject in one of the semesters of both B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (Prog), therefore, there is no way to dodge maths either before or after getting into the varsity.
