Yes the institute is less expensive as compared ton TUM. For all students, German and foreign alike, the annual tuition cost for UG courses is €1,000, and €1,500 for a PG course. The cost for undergraduate course at TUM is €1,500 each semester, and for a postgraduate program, it is €1,500 per year. However, the tuition fees at TUM applies to both domestic and international students. Also the cost of living near BUT is much more reasonable at about €7,715 annually.

The following are the deadlines for applications to the Braunschweig University of Technology (TU Braunschweig):
1. April 15–May 31 for the winter semester
2. From October 15 to November 30, for the summer semester

When comparison to other German cities, the cost of living at the the institute is reasonably low. A minimum of €940 per month is required for students to pay for living expenses such as housing, food, and transportation. Braunschweig has an average cost of living of $1336—not too dissimilar from the global average. The college does not provide any on campus accomodation it only provides the off campus accomodation. Furthermore, the university provides a range of financial aid initiatives, such as student loans, part-time employment, and scholarships, to assist students in covering their living costs and educational costs.
