MSc in Informatics at TUM is a research-oriented degree that is built on the fundamentals of Computer Science that you must have obtained during your undergraduate studies. It also offers the opportunity for individual specialisation in one or more specialist areas. The duration of the MSc in Informatics at TUM is two years.

The selection for MSc in Data Engineering and Analytics course at TUM takes place via a so-called ‘aptitude procedure’. Admission to this programme is a two-step process in which after an official application, the faculty is going to check whether the applicants meet the specific requirements for the master’s program.

• In the first stage, the submitted documents and bachelor’s final grade are evaluated using a grade-point system
• On the basis of the number of points achieved, the applicants are either admitted immediately, rejected or invited to a selection interview
