GOP or Grundlagen- und Orientierungsprüfung is a mandatory foundation exam at the Technical University of Munich. The exams are held during the first three semesters to evaluate students' academic performance. Students must appear for the GOP to continue the program; if students fail or do not attempt, it leads to deregistration from TUM and similar programs across German universities.
