In 2013, the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Guwahati was founded.It was rated 112 for BTech in the NIRF 2022. It was rated 723rd in India and 11019th in the world in 2023.The Indian parliament designated IIIT Guwahati as a "Institute of National Importance" in July 2017.The only IIIT in PPP mode to rank in the top 200 in this category.

IIIT Guwahati was founded as a public-private cooperation in 2013. It has a placement rating of 8.1/10. According to various evaluations, placements at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati (IIIT Guwahati) are good. The average package in 2023 was INR 15.5 LPA, with the maximum package being INR 120 LPA. The overall placement rate was 89.19%.

 IIIT Guwahati is one of the twenty new IIITs settled under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP). And the candidates who want to enroll in IIIT Guwahati must pass various competitive exams. The JEE MAIN exam, which is administered by NTA, must be passed with a very high score in order to be considered for admission to B.E. or B.Tech program. And One must pass the GATE exam with a high score in order to get admitted to the M.Tech program.

The M.E./M.Tech and B.E./B.Tech programs of IIIT Guwahati are the most popular ones. It provides B.E./B.Tech degrees in computer Science and engineering and electronics and communication engineering, two distinct fields. It also offers M.Tech degrees in five distinct fields, including computer Science and engineering (online+offline), and three separate ECE disciplines.

The NLU Nagpur placement report has not been released yet on the official website. Once it is released, the placement rate will be updated here. However, as per the NLU Nagpur NIRF report 2022, 10 students were placed out of total 54 students in 2021. Thus, NLU Nagpur recorded nearly 19% placements in the academic year 2020-2021.
