The BTech placement percentage of 81% was the highest among all the courses during IIT Guwahati placements 2026. The disciplines of Computer Science and Engineering Mathematics and Computing and Data Science and Artificial Intelligence recorded the highest placement percentages of 87-91% among all the undergraduate programmes.

IIT Guwahati was ranked #8 in the Engineering category in the NIRF rankings 2025. Considering the last two yeas' rank, its ranking dropped by 1 rank as compared to 2024 and 2023 rank of #7. The NIRF 2026 rankings are expected to be out soon.

I'd say GIBS Bangalore focuses a lot on industry-oriented learning, so it's not just about sitting in class and studying theory. I studied there, and there were plenty of opportunities to understand how things actually work in the business world.
