IIIT Guwahati and IIIT Sonepat are one of the newer IIITs and were founded in 2013 & 2014, respectively and are actively strengthening their foundations.
Comparing the two institutions, the IIIT Guwahati was ranked in the 201-300 band of the Engineering category of NIRF 2025 while IIIT Sonepat is unranked.
In terms of placements the median package was INR 12 LPA for IIIT Guwahati while it was INR 8 LPA for IIIT Sonepat in 2025.
Though the cutoff is less competitive for the IIIT Sonepat BTech CSE with the JEE Main cutoff having last round ranks of 41492 while for IIIT Guwahati was 28255.

Yes, candidates can withdraw their admission in MBA from IIT Guwahati. If candidates withdraw admission by 20 July 2026, a sum of INR 1,000 shall be deducted from the fee deposited.
In case of other late requests, only the refundable portion of the fee deposited shall be returned. The applicable refund amount shall be processed from IIT Guwahati in October 2026

The NLU Shimla CLAT cutoff 2026 was released for both the SC All India and the SC Home State quota. The cutoff was out for admission to the BBA LLB (Hons), LLM and BA LLB (Hons) courses.
For the ST AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 4544 in the first round to 13896 in the last round. As per this range, the toughest course for enrollment was the LLM course. This course cutoff ranged from 4544 to 5580.
