JUIT offers a “10+2 Merit-Based” admission route for B.Tech for certain seats — i.e. based on your Class 12 (or equivalent) marks instead of national entrance exam rank.
The eligibility for this usually requires: having passed 10+2 (or equivalent) in 2023–2025 and meeting minimum marks (in many cases ~ 60% aggregate, with Physics + Mathematics + appropriate third subject) as specified.
For some disciplines (e.g. Bioinformatics/Biotechnology), there is explicit mention of “non-JEE / 10+2 marks based” admissions.

The entrance exams are accepted by Jaypee University of Information Technology-
B.Tech (undergraduate) | JEE Main (for roughly 50% of seats) + 10 + 2 (board exam) marks (merit-based) for the remaining seats. |
| BBA / BCA / BSc‑UG | Merit-based (10 + 2 marks) or sometimes via entrance — depending on discipline. For some courses admissions may also consider CUET UG scores. |
| M.Tech (postgraduate engineering) | GATE (for eligible candidates) or University's own entrance test (PGET) for non‑GATE students. |
| M.Sc. | For some MSc courses, admission via entrance: e.g. for certain Biotechnology‑DBT seats there is a separate entrance (or merit / university criteria). |
| PhD | Entrance + interview. For candidates with national‑level qualifications (e.g. NET / CSIR / UGC JRF etc.), eligibility may differ. |

To evaluate if NIT Hamirpur is good for M.Tech or not, one can think of different factors. From which the first one is placement records and the actual reviews or ratings of the students and alumni of NIT Hamirpur. In regard to these mentioned factors, the below pointers are described:
- The placements for the M.Tech course for the academic year 2025 have not been made known yet. Just for the PG placements, 173 out of 226 students were placed, and the highest package that students could bring home was INR 41 LPA in 2025.
- Next in the line is Shiksha's verified review; the students have given 4.1 out of 5 ratings to the M.Tech course

The current number of available seats at Chitkara University BBA courses is not available. Generally, the number of students that can do BBA at Chitkara University is kept at a lower amount for a better and more personalised teaching experience. To ensure this, candidates are required to appear for the SAT entrance exam where, only the candidates who secure appropriate ranks are alloted a seat.
