IIT Dhanbad accepts national-level entrance exams like GATE/ UGC NET for providing admission to PhD course. Candidates shortlisted based on the entrance exam score are further called for a personal interview round. Besides, candidates need to pass UG degree with a minimum of 70% aggregate or 7.0 CGPA or Postgraduate with 60% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA in Engineering / Science or any allied area for PhD admission.
