Model Engineering College offers four UG courses in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering and three PG courses, namely VLSI Design & Embedded Engineering, Computer Science Engineering in Data Science, Mechanical with Energy Management in affiliation with AKTU.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent pass with at least 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology taken together to apply for MEC Kochi BTech admission. Besides, aspirants also need to pass Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination for admission to BTech.

Candidates need to pass BTech degree in relevant stream with at least 60% aggregate to apply for MEC Kochi M.Tech programme. For SC/ ST candidates, a pass in the Engineering degree is enough. Besides, aspirants belonging to SEBC (OBC) need to pass the degree with a minimum of 54% aggregate. 

Aspirants who have passed AMIE/ AMIETE examinations with a minimum of 55% aggregate in section-B and a valid GATE score can also apply.

Yes, MEC students can apply for Merit-cum-Means scholarship offered by DTE Kerala. Merit-cum-Means Scholarships are awarded to 10% of the total strength of students in each class at the rate of INR 250 per month. The students are selected for scholarship based on merit-cum-means.

Yes, MEC Kochi provides scholarships to M.Tech students. The institute also offers stipend to candidates belonging to SC/ ST category. Scholarship is offered to students with a valid GATE score as per AICTE norms for a total period of 24 months.
