Summer Internship Project (SIP) is a compulsory component of the PGDM curriculum at IMI Kolkata. After the end of the first year, the PGDM students are required to undergo an internship project in a company for about 8-10 weeks. There have to give a presentation and attend a viva on their internship project. They are evaluated on this.

Admission to NIFT Kolkata BDes is based on performance in NIFT Entrance Exam. This includes the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). After this, there will be a Situation Test, interview, and document verification for final selection.

The company-sponsored candidates who want to apply for PGDM in IMI Kolkata have to submit all the necessary documents as the other candidates. Additionally, they must submit a letter/undertaking from the sponsoring organisation and submit it during the Personal Interview round. They have to pay all fees and dues on time during the entire duration of the programme.

IMI Kolkata accepts applications from candidates that are sponsored by companies. Such candidates are also assessed as per the criteria of the selection process for PGDM which is followed at IMI Kolkata. 

The candidates have to qualify the eligibility criteria to apply for PGDM in IMI Kolkata. After the submission of applications, IMI Kolkata shortlists candidates by evaluating their past academic records, entance exam score, work experience and extra-curricular activities. Only the selected candidates move to the next stage of admission process- Individual Assessment Process.

The PGDM admission fee at IMI Kolkata can be paid through Credit Card or Debit Card or Net Banking through the designated payment gateway. No receipts are to be sent to Admission Office of IMI.

The students who want to apply for Tuition Fee Waiver for PGDM at IMI Kolkata have to produce a copy of the Income Tax Returns, PAN number, and Certificate issued by competent authority appointed by appropriate government at the admission office.
