No, IIM Calcutta does not offer direct admission. The institute accepts admisison based on entrance exams. The institute accepts national entrance exams like CAT, UGC NET, GMAT, and others. Candidates must know their IIM Kolkata eligibility criteria and apply accordingly.

Calcutta University as well as University of Engineering & Management Kolkata offer BTech courses across several specialisations. However, some of the specialisations offered in both the universities are different from each other. While Calcutta University offers BTech in Jute and Fibre Technology, Polymer Science and Technology, Radio Physics and Electronics, etc., along with the traditional specialisations such as CSE, ECE, Civil, Mechanical, and others.
