There's a chance for re-examinations for students who fail in any of the exams. Sometimes students who are unable to study due to problem of their life are given chance to redo the efforts.
A re-examination is done after consulting with students. Either they give the exams within a few days or can give the exam with next semester students with different syllabus.

When someone misses the internal exams, only for medical or emergency reasons then they have the opportunity for getting a re-exam. Even the students who fail in the exams have a chance to give exams again to improve the scores.
Usually its done at the end of the semester or with next semester's students.

There are 6 different messes:
3 boys hostel: Siddharth, Ashoka, Kanishka & 4th in progress
3 girls hostel: Chitralekha, Sanghmitra, Yashodhara
All the messes have proper food but the students usually seem dissatisfied of the quality. Sanghmitra & Siddhartha have been said to have better food than the other two. There's menu for the week of breakfast, lunch, evening snacks & dinner at affordable price.

Those who are freshers should understand the value of socialising. The staff and seniors are very friendly. One can join clubs for a hobby at University. Try using sir/ma'am while addressing seniors as it not only shows respect but also one's own manners.
New students should not hesitate in participating in any activity, be vocal for yourself. If faced by any problem feel free to contact the professors and rhe Ph.D scholars available.
Ps. Try engaging in groups and activities for fun to enjoy your college life.

Except for the law students there's no strict dress code. One can wear any decent dress to attend university on any day. There's no prescribed dress code for any course and normal wear is more than enough.
The medical students have to get the extra apparel.
