The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, the opening rank was 20731 and the closing rank was 25581. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at KGMU - King George's Medical University is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET. KGMU Lucknow offers direct admission to only BSc aspirants. For BSc course, the selection is based on the last qualifying exam of Class 12. For other Medical and Dental courses such as MBBS, BDS, MD, DM, etc., candidates are selected based on national-level entrance exams. Admission to these courses is completely based on a valid scores of NEET UG, NEET PG, NEET SS, etc., entrance exams. King George's Medical University admissions are online and offline. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and entrance exam scores. The university provides various UG & PG courses in the field of Medical and Dental. At the undergraduate level, King George's Medical University offers MBBS, BDS and BSc courses to students. KGMU UP NEET cutoff 2024 was released in the form of opening and closing cutoff ranks. The cutoff was released for admission to MBBS course, for different categories under Home State quota. For students belonging to the General All India quota, the closing ranks for MBBS was 3484. For OBC Home State category candidates, KGMU MBBS cutoff was 3665. For the SC HS category and ST HS category candidates, the closing ranks were 37757 and 176581, respectively. Finally, for the PWD HS category, the last round closing rank stood at 660143.

Some of the King George's Medical University (KGMU) collaborations are All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal, University of British Columbia, B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Nepal, Bhopal Memorial Hospital and Research Centre, Command Hospital, Central Command, Lucknow, Community Eye Bank, CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow, Cure International India Trust (CIIT), Energy Resources Institute, New Delhi and the TERI University, New Delhi, and others.

In order to get admission to DM at KGMU, the minimum eligibility criteria is to get a PG degree of MD/ MS or any equivalent. DM is a super specialisaed course, admission to this course is entirely entrance-based. For admission to this course, candidates have to check the eligibility in the first place and appear for NEET SS entrance exam. This entrance exam is conducted by NBE every year. Those who qualify this entrance exam will be allocated seats as per the NEET SS Counselling. For the counselling process, candidates have to register themselves on the official website of MCC.

KGMU grants admission to various UG and PG courses on the basis of various exams. For MD and MS specialisations, the cutoff is released on the basis of NEET PG. For MBBS and BDS admission, the cutoff is released on the basis of performance in the NEET and UP NEET exams. For MDS, NEET MDS is accepted and for MD/MDS, UP NEET PG is accepted. NEET SS, Meghalaya MBBS and Arunachal Pradesh NEET are also accepting exams for some courses. 

To take admission to various courses offered at King Georges Medical University, candidates must fill out an online application form which is available on the university website. The application form must be filled out completely. The application can be submitted online only on the official website. Candidates must register themselves by creating a relevant password on the website and Login ID. Once the candidates are registered successfully, they can submit the complete application form along with the exam fees. Candidates need to download the admit card. Payment for exam fees can be done by online and offline modes. Then take the entrance exam and wait for further guidance. For clearing the entrance exam like NEET SS, candidates must know about the NEET SS exam pattern and fill out the NEET application form timely.

The NEET SS application fee is INR 3,500. The fee is same for candidates belonging to each category. This is the application fee for each group. Hence, candidates planning to apply for two groups will have to pay INR 7,000 (3,500 + 3,500). The fee has to be paid in online mode, via credit/debit card or net banking. NBE states, "Applications forms once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of Application fee will not be entertained. Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason will be forfeited." As compared to last year, the fee has been reduced. Last year, the fee amount was INR 4,250 for each group.
