Mangalore University offers BSc courses in both full-time and part-time/distance mode. The university offers the BSc courses through its affiliated colleges in full-time mode. Additionally, certain affiliated colleges, such as Karavali College, offer BSc courses in a part-time mode too. The similarity in both modes is that the course is offered for the duration of three years and divided into six semesters.

The documents that are required for admission to BSc courses at Mangalore University-affiliated-colleges are meant to be proof of educational qualification, proof of age identity, etc. The names of the documents that candidates should bring at the time of admission confirmation or while applying for the course online are: 

  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and passing certificates,
  • Two passport-size photographs
  • Aadhaar card
  • Caste Certificate
  • While submitting the application form, attach the pay slip of the application fee and attach two photocopies of the online challan of the bank for successful submission of the application form.

The admission dates for the BSc course for the academic calendar 2025 are going to be released soon on the official website of the university and its affiliated colleges. Usually the university releases its application form for undergraduate courses in the month of April. Candidates can access the application form through the university's/ affilated colleges' official portal and can apply once the form is out.

Admission to BSc at Mangalore University is merit-based/ entrance-based. Those who are willing to get admission to this course must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. The next step is to qualify for the merit/cutoff list. Some of the affiliated colleges of Mangalore University accept the scores of the last qualifying exam for admission to BSc courses. On the other hand, other colleges might accept the scores of entrance examinations too for admissions to BSc courses. The eligibility criteria to get admission into BS courses at Mangalore University are candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50% to 45%. Moreover, candidates who want to pursue a BSc course in the distinct specialisations must have completed their higher senior secondary with the subject related to that specialisation. The admissions to BSc courses at Mangalore University and its affiliated colleges are merit-based. Moreover, there are chances that some of the affiliated colleges of Mangalore University accept the scores of entrance examinations for admissions to BSc courses.

Mangalore University does offer BSc courses through, affiliated colleges for the duration of three years, divided into six semesters. The BSc courses are offered by Mangalore University's affiliated colleges, not directly by the university itself. Mangalore University sets the academic guidelines and curriculum, but the affiliated colleges conduct the classes and manage admissions for these programmes. The eligibility criteria to get admission into BSc courses candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science background or the relevant subjects according to the specialisation, candidates want to choose.
