Candidates need to pass GATE to get a seat in NIT Manipur M.Tech programme. NITM offers seats under Sponsored and Self-Sponsored Category. After qualifying GATE, candidates are required to come for CCMT Counselling.

Candidates need to pass Bachelor's degree in relevant subjects with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD) to apply for NIT Manipur M.Tech course. NIT Manipur offers a full-time M.Tech programme of two years. Students are shortlisted based on academic qualification and entrance exam scores. NIT Manipur M.Tech is offered in various specialisations such as Computer Science Engineering,  VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, etc. 

NIT Manipur admission to BTech is based on JEE Main score. Candidates are selected through their past academic scores and rank obtained in JEE Main exam. After the commencement of all the selection rounds, candidates have to register for JoSAA Counselling process. The final seat allotment is done through JoSAA Counselling process. Further, if seats remain unfilled, then the vacant seats are filled with CSAB Counselling. After seat allotment, aspirants are required to further apply at the official website of the institute.

Candidates need to appear for JEE Main to get admission in NIT Manipur BTech. Hence, aspirants need to fulfil the eligibility criteria set for JEE Main to apply for BTech course. Below is detailed eligibility for NIT Manipur BTech:

• There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main.
• Candidates need to pass Class 12 with Physics,  Chemistry/ and any one subject among Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subject with at least 75% aggregate to apply for JEE Main for NIT Manipur BTech.
