NIT Calicut BTech Highlights 2026
NIT Calicut BTech 4-year programme offers across 10 specialisations. Some of the specilisations are Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Engineering Physics, and more.
Admission: NIT Calicut BTech admissions are based on JEE Main scores and JoSAA counselling. Vacant seats after JoSAA counselling are filled through CSAB counselling.
Eligibility: Passed Class 12 with minimum aggregate of 75% (65% for reserved category) with Science stream.
Cutoffs: As per the JEE Main Round 6, BTech in CSE turns out to be the most competitive specilisation, where its closing rank in 2026 stood at 6999.

NIT Calicut comes under the top 3 NITs in India. The institute has a central library and a digital library. The Central Library of NIT Calicut is one of the best technical libraries in South India. It has a very good collection of more than 1.33 lakh technical and scientific books. The Central Computer Centre (CCC) is another central facility of the Institute that caters to the computing requirements of the campus community. The students live in hostels on campus. There are 13 hostels on the campus, out of which 10 are for boys and 3 for girls. The students also have access to a 25-station gymnasium, playfields for football, cricket, and hockey, a cricket net practice zone and pitch, etc., and a swimming pool.
