Both NIE Institute of Technology and Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering have good placement records with many reputed companies visiting their campuses. However, some of the differences are:

NIE Institute of Technology claims to have the highest package of 43.18 LPA in 2021-22, while Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering reports the highest package of 14.53 LPA in 2018.

NIE Institute of Technology has been visited by more than 450+ companies including 260+ IT companies and 150+ core companies each year, while Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering has over 100+ recruiting partners.

Both NIE Institute of Technology and Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering are reputed engineering colleges in Mysore, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE. However, there are some differences between them:

  • Ranking: According to the NIRF 2020 ranking, NIE Institute of Technology is ranked 175 among the engineering colleges in India, while Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is not ranked.

NIE Mysore has released its placement data for the year 2023. According to the official website, the highest and average packages offered during the 2023 placement season were reported at INR 56 LPA and INR 9 LPA, respectively. A total of 708 students secured placements, and the placement drive saw participation from 348 companies. Moreover, the placement statistics reveal that over 960 offers were extended, including more than 500 coveted dream offers. Among the prominent recruiters for NIE Mysore in the 2023 placements were well-known companies such as HCL, Cisco, Bosch, Wipro, UpGrad, and others.
