Excellent faculty support and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 80% of students were placed. The highest package was 42 LPA in 2024. The lowest package is around 4 to 5 LPA. The average package is 9.5 to 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T Technology Services, Philips Innovation Labs, Bosch, etc. Almost 50% of students got internships in companies like Bosch, Wipro, Infosys, and Continental. Top roles offered would be VLSI Design Engineer, Hardware Design Engineer, Embedded Systems Engineer, and many more.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. There is an excellent environment in and around the college. Smart TVs are available. Classrooms are equipped with comfortable desks. Labs have all the required components and equipment. Hostel rooms are good and well maintained. The food might not be that good. Rooms have a study table for each person. There are 2, 3, and 4 sharing rooms. Sports and games are encouraged by the faculty members. Many competitions are held to support students.
Faculty: Lecturers are supportive. The teaching quality is good. It might not be extraordinary, but it is average. Faculty members help us with our projects and hackathons. The course is curriculum relevant. Courses are assigned based on students' understanding level. I am very happy with the system. A lot of knowledge can be gained, which can be further used in industries. College exams are not too difficult. They are either average or above average. Passing marks for internals is 20 out of 50 from 2 internals and 35 for 100 in semester-end exams.
Other: I am currently in the 3rd semester, passing out in 2028. I chose E and C on my own interest. It is an evergreen subject. Now that the semiconductor industry is booming everywhere, we get many opportunities as Electronics engineers. I wish that we don't spend much time on useless courses like 1 or 0 credit and focus on what actually is needed, and I wish there's more practical learning than theoretical. Every year, the college fest happens during April or May. It's a joyous event of 3 days. Inter-branch sports will be organized days before the event starts.

Teachers are good. If you are good at Math and Physics, you can definitely join this college.
Placements: EEE placement is average. The average package is 7 to 8 LPA, and the highest goes up to around 24 LPA. The good thing is that they don't offer non-tech placements like other colleges in Bangalore. Here, they provide proper EEE roles. Internships are difficult to get. Top companies like Schneider Electric, Samsung, and Texas Instruments.
Infrastructure: The building is very good for EEE and ECE. Both courses are in the same building. Coming to the hostel, it is only triple sharing for boys. The quality of food is South Indian, so if you coming from the North, it might be difficult. All other things are kind of good. You can’t say they are bad.
Faculty: The exams are kind of on the tougher side, but if you get the right teacher, it's a piece of cake. In EEE, a lot of math is required. If you are not comfortable with math, don't take the EEE department. Choose some other course. You have subjects like EPGT, Machines, Power Electronics, VLSI, etc. These subjects require plenty of math. Teachers are very experienced, but a few of them are not. They help students if they are interested. Don’t argue with teachers, they won’t do anything.
Other: Fests are there but mostly for Mechanical students. For EEE, there is a very less crowd.

NIE Mysore is the best place to study. It is really worth our time and effort.
Placements: There are 180 students in our batch, and out of that, 80% of students get placed which means 144 students got placed. The highest package offered is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The average package is 5 LPA. Benz, Bosch, and Siemens Technology are the top recruiting companies for our course. 70% of students got internships in various companies like Toyota, TVS, and Mypol. Top roles offered are HVAC engineer and plant manager.
Infrastructure: The mechanical department has the best lab facilities not only in our college but in the entire state. Students who are willing to do research work in the mechanical field should opt for NIE Mysore without hesitation. The quality of the food served in the NIE boys' hostel is top-notch. If students are from North India or South India, they can easily adjust to our hostel food. The food is hygienically prepared and very delicious. The ground available to play sports is not that much big. It has one basketball court, one handball court, and some space for playing cricket.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified. Most of them are from IIT. They have in-depth knowledge of their subject. We can approach them any time of the day. They are friendly and easily approachable. The course curriculum is up to date. What are the things practiced in the industry those things are only taught here.
Other: I am always interested in machines and how machines work, so I chose a mechanical engineering course. The best thing about our course is we will learn everything about machines, manufacturing processes, design and quality control.

It provides good placements every year. It is worth joining this college.
Placements: 85% of students get placed in the electrical stream, and the placement rate is high. The highest package received is 27 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. The average ranges from 7-8 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Samsung, Texas Instruments, DTICI, TVS, etc. It offers roles based on their knowledge and skills.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Free Wi-Fi is available and classrooms are well-furnished. It also has smart boards, and the library fulfills our needs. Food in the canteen is affordable and the taste is also good. Medical facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, supportive, and responsive. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is good and ensures that everybody is eligible for placements. Semester exams are tough. Paper correction is strict. The pass percentage is 85%. The college is autonomous so it satisfies the demands of companies or industries. The teaching atmosphere is good.
Other: I chose this course because 90% of students choose software. I wanted to be different from others as semiconductor industries upgrading job opportunities are more. It is the toughest branch as everybody knows. In odd semesters, branch fests will take place which include sports, ethnic day, DJ night, etc. In every semester, the college fest, i.e., TECHNIEKS is held for 4-5 days. The campus is good and refreshing. Social connections are more.

Reviewing NIE in just a glance.
Placements: Almost 90 out of 125 students are placed by the end of the final year. The highest package is 29 LPA, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Around 85% of students get internships by the start of the 4th year. The various companies that come for the internship drive are Infosys, Samsung, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, Bosch, and Havells. The role of a test engineer is a good for me to start earning.
Infrastructure: Libraries are very huge, containing all books we need to understand our course thoroughly. Wi-Fi facility in classrooms is good enough, and I have no complaints about it. The canteen at our college is very lively and is a great place to hang out with friends or study for exams.
Faculty: The teaching quality at NIE is really good, as teachers are highly experienced, and the course is highly recommended and regularly revised to meet current industry requirements. Teachers are very helpful and go out of their way whenever needed. They provide informative notes that are good enough to score well in exams.
Other: I chose ECE because of the growing semiconductor demand in India. The course includes power electronics from the first year itself. The college hosts several fests and ensures maximum participation from students.

What you need to know before joining the college.
Placements: Around 90 percent of students in our college are placed every year, with an avg package of 8 LPA. The highest is 50 LPA. Infosys, Land are the top recruitment companies in our college. All the 3rd and 4th-year students got internships for software testing and developing in companies.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure in our college, with big libraries and huge classrooms, Wi-Fi. We have 2 campuses, one is North and the other is South. In the North campus, we have only IT branches, and the hostel facility is good but has less accommodation. But in the South, we get good accommodation.
Faculty: Yes, teachers here are helping in our course curriculum, but the level of exam paper is moderate, so we can't score well, but it makes students industry-ready. When it comes to sem exams, we often get tough papers. Teachers here are well-qualified and are good at teaching.
Other: I choose this course because of my passion to become an engineer, and the best thing about this course is it shapes my life and future in a good way. In this college, we get fewer fests.
