According to U.S. News & World Report, the University of Amsterdam ranks at #33 in 2024-25 Global Universities category ranking. In 2023, this university ranked at #39. This shows that in the latest rankings, the university's rank has improved significantly. The University of Amsterdam ranks better than Leiden University. Amsterdam University QS ranking is #55 and that of Leiden University is #141 in 2025. In the QS rankings, the University of Amsterdam ranks among the Top 100 Universities in the world, whereas, Leiden University ranks among the Top 200 Worldwide Universities in 2025. The Uni of Amsterdam ranks among the best universities in Europe. Per QS, the Uni ranks #55 for the year 2025. The institute ranked #53 In the year 2024. A slight decline of 2 spots was observed. However, the university continues to maintain its place among the top 100 universities globally.
