No, BITS Pilani does not provide admission on the basis of management quota. All admissions to BITS Pilani are made on the basis of merit, as determined by the BITSAT exam. There is no provision for admission through donation or any other form of payment. BITS Pilani is a public university and is funded by the government of India. As such, it is committed to providing equal opportunities to all students, regardless of their financial background. The university believes that merit is the best way to select students and that this will ensure that the best and the brightest students are admitted to BITS Pilani.

Candidates who are put on the wait list of BITSAT will have their chance of admissions into the BE courses offered by the BITS campuses. However, the admissions will only be possible when a candidate from the admit list does not complete their admission process or withdraws their seat. In case of any withdrawal, the preference will be given to candidates as per their rank on the waitlist. The authorities may also add more counselling rounds to increase the chances of the wait list candidates to secure admissions.

BITSAT admit list will consist of the names of the candidates who have cleared the minimum cut off criteria for admission. On the other hand, the BITSAT wait list will consist of the names of all the candidates who will be called in for admission in the next round, in case a candidate withdraws his/her seat.

For the BITS Pilani campus, candidates have to score marks within 270 to 340 to get admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) course. For Hyderabad and Goa campuses, candidates scores should be within 240 to 310 for admission to BE programme. Candidates are advised to check the previous year cutoffs to obtain a general idea about the scores they might need to secure for admission into their preferred course and campus. However, the BITSAT cutoff for admissions depends on various factors related to the entrance examination and is susceptible to change.

BITS Pilani, Hyderabad and Goa campuses offer admissions based on BITSAT scores. There is no other examination that the candidates can appear for to get B.Tech admissions into the participating four campuses. It is essential for the candidates to register, attempt and qualify BITSAT if they wish to study under BITS. However, direct admissions are provided to the board exam toppers. These candidates should have ranked at the top of the board exams and should meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the authorities.
