The placement cell of the university aims to provide its students with the best job opportunities. HNLU achieved 70% placement in 2018, which is 30% more than the previous year. The highest placement package offered at HNLU Raipur is INR 12 LPA, and the average placement package is INR 9 LPA.

The companies that visited the campus for recruitment in the years 2022 to 2023,  were AZB & Partners (Associate), ICICI Bank (Management Trainee - Legal), Induslaw (Associate), Wadia Ghandy & Co. (Associate), Singh & Co.

According to a contract between the employer and subscriber, no official salary or CTC has been disclosed for the positions. 12 LPA to 16 LPA was offered this year.

IIM Raipur provides the Executive Certificate in Senior Management (ECSM), a part-time programme lasting 12 months, designed for professionals in employment who wish to progress in their careers in senior management. Delivered by experienced faculty from IIM Raipur and other renowned business schools, the ECSM also includes guest speakers from the industry.

IIM Raipur hosts a dynamic lineup of cultural events, including Zenith (fresher's party), Kaleido (cultural night), Bon Voyage (farewell for exchange students), Treasure Hunt, Jamming Sessions, War of Sections, and Farewell. These events offer diverse experiences, fostering community engagement and showcasing talent.

The mess food at IIM Raipur is generally considered to be good. The menu changes daily, and there is a wide variety of options available, including Indian, Chinese, and Continental food. There are also vegetarian and vegan options available.

Some students have complained that the food can be repetitive, but overall, the feedback is positive. The mess food is also relatively affordable, with meals costing around INR 100 per day.

At IIM Raipur, the CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) is determined based on the performance in individual subjects. Each subject is assigned credit units and grades. The grade points obtained in each subject, calculated by multiplying the grade by the credit units, are summed up.

The CGPA is then derived by dividing the total grade points by the total credit units. This indicates the student's overall academic achievement.
