IIM Shillong's MBA programme selection procedure is multi-staged. Candidates must first take the CAT exam and meet the institute's cutoff criterion. Shortlisted candidates are assessed based on their academic performance, employment experience, diverse criteria, and CAT results. Those chosen in the first phase are invited to the Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds. These rounds evaluate candidates' communication, leadership, and problem-solving ability. IIM Shillong takes a holistic approach, focussing on both academic and non-academic components to produce well-rounded students. Here's some information about the cutoff for M.A. in Sociology at North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) Shillong:

"To be eligible for admission to NEHU Shillong's M.A. in Sociology, you need to have at least 50% marks in your Bachelor's Degree or Masters' Degree in Science/ social sciences humanities, commerce."

The university accepts the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-PG) as the entrance exam for admission to postgraduate programs.

The NIT Meghalaya M.Tech course admission is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility and selection criteria. As per official sources, to be eligible, candidates must have passed a BE/BTech degree in a relevant discipline with a 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate for Gen/Gen-EWS/OBC, whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD candidates. 

Further, they must also have appeared for the GATE exam and participate in the CCMT counselling process. Those who do not have a valid GATE score or have not been able to get a seat via CCMT can participate in the institute-level selection process. In this process, students are evaluated based on the institute-level entrance test and PI round. At last, the selected candidates must make the payment of the NIT Meghalaya M.Tech fee to secure admission.
