You will be called either on June 19 or 20 which means you will have the good chances to get a top course.
As per my view, you can get ECE and mechanical engineering easily but this also depends on the seats available. You can try it in the counselling.
All the best.

If you belong to Tamil Nadu then you have good chances to get a seat as your TNR (Tamil Nadu ranking) would be high.

In our country, people truly believe on IITs and NITs for B.Tech and placement.
But, due to downfall, these are also losing its position.
Apart from these, some private college are BITS, SRM, NIRMA, VIT, SKIT Jaipur, UPES Dehradun and LPU are getting higher value.
Well, there, you may get good environment.
A peaceful decorum and high placement records

Why are you not going for BITS Pilani, Nirma University and PDPU. These are far better from SASTRA.

SASTRA University has a purely merit based admission system. You'll have no way to get a seat through management quota! You can get in through the NRI quota but it's has very limited seats.
I'm sure you'll be able to get into the other colleges with money bit not the case with SASTRA.

Of course, you can! But, you'll have to write JEE Mains to be eligible for the stream 1 selection!
You'll be given an All India rank and admission into SASTRA will be based on the rank that you obtain!
All the best

Admission into SASTRA University is based on an aggregate of both your 12th and JEE marks.
Your admission is based on the AIR that you'll be awarded.
Make sure you add in your JEE marks while applying for the college.

Be it anything, I'll tell you this, never select a course based on how and where you'll get placed! That's all secondary! You'll find a way for all that! What matters is that the Interest you have in a particular field to learn things.
Choose wisely.
