VIT conducts its own entrance examination called VITEEE for admission to its B.Tech programs. It is mandatory for candidates to appear for VITEEE to be considered for admission into the B.Tech programme at VIT. However, it is possible to get admission into VIT without appearing for VITEEE (VIT Engineering Entrance Examination) through the following channels:
Direct Admission: VIT offers direct admission to candidates who have a valid GATE score. Such candidates will be exempted from appearing for VITEEE and can apply directly to the M.Tech programme at VIT. Lateral Entry: VIT also offers a lateral entry option for candidates who have completed a Diploma or B.Sc. Degree in Engineering. Such candidates can apply for direct admission to the second year of the B.Tech programme at VIT. Management Quota: VIT reserves a certain percentage of seats for admission under the Management Quota. Candidates can apply for admission under this quota by contacting the VIT administration directly. Our college is decent in all the formats. Placements: More than 20% of student placed in our college and the average package for the placed student is 3 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies in our college is flex, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions, CSS corp and top roles offered is Designing, manufacturing, Quality manager. Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is fine and not upto that level which is more than enough for a student to get things done, provision of labs and Wi-Fi till campus is good but when it comes to hostel there is no Wi-Fi available. Facilities for sports and games are very good. I am active in football and went for zonal as a player. Faculty: Teachers in our college are qualified enough but most of them are holding doctorate degree and they are absolutely helpful when students need their help. Course curriculum given by our college is relevant and mostly similar. It completely depends on the performance of the students if they didn't study well and present well they will fail. Passing percentage of our college is 80%. Other: I chose this course because of my personal interest and parents recommendation. Their teaching methods should be improve a bit. Event and fests were conducted before the pandemic but now it's reduced.

Yes definitely, hostelers are allowed to visit outside the campus but there are certain rules and regulations which a student needs to consider and follow. It is just same, when the child is at home and parents bind them with some rules to be followed which are for their own safety.
Every parent invests their trust in the institute, for the safety of their ward, so it is the responsibility of the University to manage the student by imposing some rules.
A student has to mark a biometric attendance while entering or exiting the hostel.
Boys have more relaxations in relation to time duration compared to the girl. For example, Boys has to come back and mark their presence by 7 PM whereas Girls need to come back in the hostel by 6 PM.
Security guards, cctv cameras all are for their security purpose.
